- Characters not compatible with previous Ultimative versions. This is the last wipe, so calm down.
- Do not play with Median XL 005 characters, they won't work. Neither will your shared stash. To fix this, make sure your [save] folder is empty.
- Do not run on -direct -txt. Or game won't load.

General
A lot (I mean it) of misc. changes to smoothen the game, not mentioning them to make changelog readable. The obvious ones won't be mentioned either.
Some bugfixes that won't be mentioned either. If they are not happening again, why do you need to know them?
Character Orb: now works flawless.
Increased Inventory size.
Elemental runes: reduced required level to 100
Mephisto reanimate is now visible (and he appears on uldyssian uberquest, replacing Izual)
Secret Runes now actually add damage.
Fresh Characters start with 3 signets of gold. (brotip: cube them)
Increased base run/walk speed for all characters
All new runes (Stones+Unknown Skull) no longer drop from Kabraxis Uberquest, they drop from Act 3 Sewers now!
Levels (HUGE CHANGES):

Increased size of some mazes.
Some places like Den of Evil, become bigger depending on difficulties.
ALL densities scale with difficulty level, and are no longer equivalent like in older patches.

Unique Items
Added 72 Sacred Uniques (non class-specific weapons)
Reduced heal after kill from some of the new uniques.
Removed %avoid from some items to disable 100% avoid assassin.
Rebalanced many uniques too.
Quests:
Baal (Destruction): the entire quest is now harder.
Act 3: Khalim's Will is now dropped by Lachdanan.
Act 2: Staff of Kings is now dropped by Plaguewrath.
Uberquests:
Kabraxis: increased doom level of skeletons
Secret Boss: only killable with purify now
Diablo Clone: reduced lags, 2nd,3rd,4th generation of griswolds dont leave corpses, removed annoying screen shakes.
Uldyssian: Baal images have halved HP now, moved uber to duriel's lair, changed Uldyssian AI, and a new skill.
Tran Athulua: lowered arrowside proc to 5%. Of course it used to be harder than dunc if you sucked.
Characters
Lowered some mana costs from a few (o)skills due to requests.
Assassin
Bionetic Blast: removed.
New Skill: Dark Spirit - energy based summon with many spells
Batstrike: bats now have slow and chance for AoE attack
Starbrust: shurikens now pierce enemies, added 1 ND to compensate. (talk about AoE now)
Perfect Being: starting avoid is 25% down from 30%.
Druid
Force of Nature: now (also) adds (some) flat elemental damage to weapon.
Idol of Sc.: increased nova ranges, FRW starts at 0 (not -40), shoots 4 novas, reduced def bonus / stun / added ND to compensate.
Pummel: reduced ND from 3 to 2.
Quill Storm: reverted, now gets quills per level, removed magic damage bonus to compensate.
Acid Fiends: now add all elemental damage instead of just poison.
Necromancer
Vodooshot: no longer invisible
Deathlord: now adds 80% FRW
Paladin
Scourgues: now have 5% chance to cast lifeblood on attack.

Blood Elementals: starts at 5 elementals, cap is now 25 (up from 15).
Blood Elementals now have 20% chance to cast Fire Cannonade on Death.
Barrage now gains +4 arrows per level
Hyena Strike: %DR capped at 10% (down from 50%)
Barrage: changed mechanics, new barrage density is high for very low time but leaves less arrows for a long period of time.

Assassin
Way of the Gryphon: slightly ncreased damage.

Freezing Gale: reduced base mana cost, slightly increased damage, reduced NextDelay from 3 to 2, now leaves a 'Lightning Arena'-alike circle that will stay for some time dealing cold damage.
Tremor: base range is now 15 (down from 25) but increases by 1 per level, and max damage is 25 up from 21.
Ferocity: reduced %IAS bonus.
Necromancer
Embalming: Now starts at 0% Hp (down from 20%) but gains 5% hp per hard point (up from 4%). %Mana regen reduced to 10% per level.
Famine: Now starts at 10% life leech +1% per point.

The character orb obtained from hatred Den of Evil, can be cubed with several items, such as:

You cannot cube it with any kind of wearable equipment, such as rings, amulets, armors and weapons! Remember each item type is capped at 15 uses.
LOTTERY RECIPE 5% chance
This recipe works exactly like the lucky upgrade one, meaning an item cannot be luckied and lotteried. Any item that has been upgraded with any of these two recipes will show up as "Already Upgraded!"

ATHULUA'S DEITY'S BOW
Ever wondered what the Deity's bow is for? it can be used to make an extremely powerful new type of bow that can be used by any class. In order to craft this bow, you will need 6 Secret tokens, that are obtained by cubing 7 random items.

Hello everyone, this is a new uberquest that I'm working on my new mod; Median XL: ULTIMATIVE. For more info about that mod visit this thread.
This thread will show the uber itself in text / video. I want to make it clear that xarugas made the effects, imported their new monsters with added skill, and made all uberquests mechanic from the part you summon in the Chaos Sanctuary, until the death of kabraxis. What I did is all theorycraft / specific ideas, also tested uber and helped xarugas to adjust correct hp / res , etc. values. And of course, the first part of the uber will also be done by me. So, thanks a lot, xarugas for the amazing work!

Part 1: The Key of Damnation
To obtain the desired kill you need to kill the Secret uber-boss, Inarius. He will drop a "Spirit of Damnation", which needs to be cubed to a regular key to obtain the Key of Damnation.
Part 2: The Scroll of Kabraxis
To obtain the scroll of kabraxis: cube your key of damnation with an Identify Scroll and a Town Portal Scroll to obtain the scroll of Kabraxis. The "Scroll of Kabraxis" is a single-use scroll that grants the 'Abysmal Gate' skill when used.
Part 3: Abysmal Gate
Once you have your scroll, you need to go to the middle star of the Chaos Sanctuary. Make sure you kill all monsters there first, or they will receive the immunity shield from the Ultra bosses. Do NOT activate the 5 seals. This will unsummon an invisible stationary totem that makes it available to use Abysmal Gate
Once you have summoned, step back, if you're too close to the center of the star, you will die. This is to prevent people from cheesing the uberquest by covering the place with summons.
Now: This part(3) consists of 6 uber-bosses, and a few minions. The central Pillar of skulls is invulnerable to any damage until you killed all other 5 bosses, which are standing on the 5 edges of the star.
There are 5 types of minions, called 'elementals', one for each element, not including poison. Each minion is vulnerable ONLY to their own damage source. This means: you will need to deal decent damage of those 5 types. Every boss from the elementals will summon a new minion every 12 seconds, so if you're too slow, you might get swarmed!
Since you need 5 elements, this uberquest is multiplayer-friendly. In case you do it on your own, some characters are able to reach many elemental source damages, f.e. bowzon, kraken stance barb, waysin, necromancer, etc.
It is recommended that you take bosses 1-by-1, mostly, because if you try to tank all the 5 at the same times, you are likely to die. Each Ultra boss uses a deadly attack, so you need to keep moving or you're dead.
The elemtanls themselves do elemental damage (according to their type) on melee, and they also cast a skill, that is mostly harmless. Make sure you have decent resistances!
Once you killed all 5 bosses, pillar of skulls looses his immunity shield making it vulnerable to damage.
Part 4: The Pillar of Skulls
The pillar of skulls itself is pretty easy to kill, he uses graveyard (throws delayed punishers) that deal decent damage, and casts psychic scream to fear your minions away (when struck).
The Pillar has an heroic shield, meaning their resistances will randomly drop making it vulnerable to an element damage. Once you killed the Pillar of skulls, beware..
Part 5: Final Boss: Kabraxis
The boss itself isn't too hard, but he will annoy you constantly witch his melee attacks to prevent you from attacking him. His most deadly skills are "Punisher Barrage" and "Broadside" which will be cast when he takes damage. Avoid these to not die.
The boss' only spell is a modified version of Vessel of Judgement, which doesn't deal deadly damage but is required to be avoided, or you will likely die.
Kabraxis will try to swarm you with skeletons when he attacks, these skeletons are almost harmful and will help you to leech / proc skills. They also cast doom when they die. On updated versions he will blink to you and cast the skeleton swarm after 1 second. This is to avoid the uber from being cheesed between lava parts on Chaos Sanctuary.
Everytime kabraxis kills you (or a minion) it will kill the entire screen. So avoid summons / reanimates , or you will likely die. In addition to that, when he kills anything, he will spawn a pack of veil rats, which are harmful but will try to swarm you and your body.
Kabraxis has an Heroic shield, meaning he will randomly drop his resistances making it possible to deal damage to him. Once you managed to kill him, you are ewarded with the following charm:

You have to go through 30 bosses before fighting the real Uldyssian. Each one of his memories has different types of magic, resistances, and graphics. Their life, defense, damage, attack rate, scale for every higher tier boss.

STAGE 5 - Uldyssian, Dark Edyrem King (invulnerable to damage)
Uldyssian's Ghost x5: Slow moving, use teleport, scorpion blade, gift of vanquishing and gift of celerity. They have thorns aura which will reflect damage when you hit them on a melee strike. Unkillable.
Uldyssian: Time Wave, Patriot Sentry, Rapture, Blink, casts deathstrike when taking damage. Has no %Avoid. He can be damaged using Purify Skill. If you die, he has a chance to heal his entire health.
STRATEGY
While fighting the previous bosses you might encounter yourself against immunes of all type. You might need to get several sources of elemental damage to deal against these. Most of them are easy killable with and end character. Against the last memory - Baal - you need to have high reflexes and high killspeed. Otherwise you will end up swarmed by Baal Images all over the level. They use Shower of Rocks, so you might want to move away from them.
Against uldyssian, you need the basic purify strategy - purify and keep Open Wounds active on him. But be careful on this step, since he will use Deathstrike when damaged, and if it kills you he might heal his entire life. Be careful that he teleports, so make sure he doesn't teleport to you if you use the stairs to go to the palace, because he might follow you. Use a town portal to avoid this.
REWARD
He has a 50% Chance to drop a powerful charm and 2% chance to drop a trophy. In addition to that he will drop 2-3 high tier/Sacred Uniques.

Uberquest: Diablo Clone (Multiplayer)
Location: Stony Fields, Destruction difficulty.Summoning method: Sell a key to a vendor.
The uberquest is pretty straight forward. You see two monsters, Diablo Clone and griswold-looking minions. The goal of the uberquest is to kill diablo, but beware, he has an heroic shield and health regeneration. Your avoiding skills and killspeed need to be elevated for this uberquest!
Minions of TerrorHarmless looking zombies, these undead creatures are slow walking and pretty dumb. However, if you always hated Hemoplagues, like most of the people - these creatures use the same powers. This means, minions of terrors are split into four stages. Diablo will spawn with a few minions from the first stage, when these die, they will summon two monsters of the second stage, which on dying will summon monsters of the third, and then, fourth stages. But this is not all! their speed and health values, as well as immunities and properties vary depending on stages!
Diablo CloneHis skills are easy to notice. His main source of damage comes from weapon and physical damages. He will try to knock you away and make you burn in flames, while randomly blinking on top of you to hit you on melee strikes.
His spells are no instagibs, so surviving him is not a big problem. However, he will use two different skills when damaged. The first one, will summon a minion from the first stage. The second one, will buff all his close minions, giving them huge speed, attack rate and flat fire damage, so if you see his minions becoming red, you better start running!
RewardHis reward is unknown, but will be great use for any build. However, on death, he will enhance all his minions giving them his form, and huge speed, in order to prevent you from looting the reward.
Uberquest: Chrysaor
Hey all! Another new uberquest introduced in Median XL: Ultimative v5.On this short guide I'll be providing some information on it, a smallwalkthrough and monster specific information, as always.
PART 1: THE UBERLEVEL
First of all, this uber is located on act 3 Sewers level 1 and 2. Since I don'twant to make two guides for this, I'll be giving information on both of these,even though they are completely different. Level 1 is a new uberlevel, whilelevel 2 is where Chrysaor is located. They have no connection other thanthe fact that you have to go through the uberlevel before fighting the boss.
Okay, as you can see in the picture, this is pretty obvious. There is onemonster for each element, which you can distinguish from their color.These monsters are very simple. They will cast one skill, that will dealdamage corresponding to their element. You might want to stack someresistances for this part. Eventually, they will come into melee range,but most of the time they will be sniping you with their missiles.
DROP BIAS: these monsters have a chance to drop elemental stones,corresponding to their element. When mixing these stones with unknownskulls (type1) they will return as elemental runes, these are new runesintroduced on first ultimative release (they used to drop from KabraxisUberquest). <MORE INFORMATION ABOUT NEW RUNES>
PART 2: THE UBERBOSS
Sewers level 2 has been modified by me, the area has an increased size,its still a bit small, but its just meant to be the boss arena. There are somepreset monsters here waiting until you reach Chrysaor.
Ratfinks. Probably known by everyone already, these rats are Belial'ssecondary minions, they are untargetable and deal heavy physical damage.Basically, you just have to dodge them, or lure them somewhere wherethey won't bother you. This is probably your best option.
Goliaths. These giantic creatures will curse you and deal heavy damageto you. They are not fast killable, but they are not a huge threat. Theyare just guarding the area until you reach the boss, Chrysaor.
Chrysaor. After you follow one of the two corridors, you will find a smallspot where he is located. The boss is pretty simple, and it's meant to bethat way. He is simply poison immune, and despite his high regeneration,killing him is fairly easy.
He will drop two uniques and a new introduced charm. This charm is calledTrader's Chest. This charm is another unique mechanic introduction.Let's have a look at it and see how it works.
The trader's chest is basically an unique where you will be gamblingspecific stats you want. If you ever been to a casino, you should probablyknow how gambling works, nothing is free. Each gem will boost specificstats while lowering others, if you're lucky other stats will be unaffectedeach recipe, or even get a small positive bonus. In the end, you willloose it all, because after 50 gambles, there is just no way that you willend up with decent stats; your dexterity might be boosted to hell buta huge strength loss will disable your gear, or force you to invest instrength. But there are rumors that a fully gambled trader's chest canbe upgraded and converted into an actual useful charm!

PART 3: THE SECRET UBERBOSS
Okay, its probably not that secret. Let's suppose you're not readingthis and you find yourself the nice surprise you will get if you use DarkSummoning on the second level.
Chrysaor (Secret Boss): okay, I'll tell you that if you've come to this point,you only did the easy part. Yes! another giant. Who doesn't love monstersthat cover 1/4 of the screen? Okay, back to the point. This uberboss ispretty tough. He has an heroic shield that drops fairly easy. But itwill not so easy to achieve this. Most important of all, every 10 secondshe will summon a statue, that will render him immune to all incoming damage.
The statues. They render all nearby monsters immune to all elements.The traps are fairly easy to take down, but for that, your spells orweapon attacks won't work. What you have to do is simply purify it.After purifying it, chrysaor will become vulnerable, until after 10 seconds,he'll summon another one. The traps have 25% avoid, so every 4 purifies,one will miss. Ok, this is just a 3 second loss, let's pray that the statuedoesn't avoid two of your purifies. However, purifying these statuesmight be a bit harder than this. They spawn with big Yetis (face it, whatbetter than yeti's to fit this giant monster theme!) and they are so big thatyou need to lure them a bit before you purify the statue.
Yetis are no big threat. They have decent life, not very strong attack, buttheir only purpose is being meatshields. And they do their work prettywell. Good luck on this one!
The boss will not only drop 5 uniques but will also drop an Unknown Skull.And no, this unknown skull is not like the one introduced on KabraxisUberquest. It's a new one! And guess what, its UNKNOWN! you will bevery rewarded if you find out what uses this unknown skull of type 2 can be!
Uberquest: Athulua, the Amazonian Goddess
Hello everyone, on this post I'll be showing you a new Uberboss - Athulua. This uberboss is the Godess Athulua, that has morphed herself into a powerful Mage, to defeat you with the strongest bow skills ever seen.
DESCRIPTION
The boss itself doesn't have any strong weapon damage. However, she will try to get your life really low using OHMAN and Arrowside as her two main skills. To die from these two skills will be pretty much impossible, but she has a very high amount of Crushing Blow, that will keep your life under 500 most of the time.
Becoming a mage has allowed her to learn very powerful spells that she will use to take you down, while your life is low. These two spells are Meteor Shower and Rising dawn. Meteor shower is easily avoidable, while Rising Dawn is harder to avoid, and will undoubtly kill you if you're low on life.
In addition, she will summon every now-and-then a few rats with average speed and damage that when killed will use tremor to lower your HP even more, but once again, it won't kill you.
She, like all the heroic bosses, has a shield that makes her invulnerable to incoming damage, but this shield isn't flawless, it will randomly drop a resistance every once in a while. Damage her, and she will teleport to a safer location!
LOCATION
Tran Athulua Uberquest - Destruction Only. The boss can be summoned after killing the harmless Volcanic Shrine. Be careful when clearing the uberlevel, since she will have a slight chance to spawn if you kill the volcanic trap.
REWARD
When killed, she will drop a bow that cannot be used for anything than a few recipes with different items. The most powerful recipe know so far is one that will enable you to get a new type of bow usable for all classes, which has unique powers. For this, you will need to collect 6 new tokens in addition to the dropped bow. The tokens cannot be dropped from enemys and are only obteinable through unknown recipes.
This sacred bow contains 2 new skills and an old but also new skill (Time Wave) as a proc. If you ever achieve this bow, then enemies will stand no choice against you!

Uberquest: the Startled Witch
Hello everyone! I present you one of the new ubers introduced in MedianXL: Ultimative v5. In this quest you will be fighting…… a witch. Yes, you'veprobably dreamt about this moment for your whole life, but it won't bean easy task. In this walkthrough I'll be guiding you through this new quest.
First of all, take your Flayer Jungle waypoint, and fing the Flayer Dungeonentrance, which used to be a quest area on older patches. FlayerDungeon is divided in 3 areas. To fight the boss, you will need to makeyour way until level 3. New ubermonsters are guarding the first twolevels, doing all they can to protect the almighty startled witch.

We can distinguish three types of monsters here. First and most basic ofall: Zealots. They are immune to fire, cold and lightning. They are not abig threat, however other type of enemies will aid them. There are twoadvanced structures with different functions. We have nests and traps.Nests will, obviously, spawn more zealots. However these nests are notso easy to take down, they are immune to physical/magic damage andhave considerable regeneration. On the other side, we have the Traps.These will spam inoffensive bolts while they are bored. However, if aZealot perishes, it will resurrect him. So, unless you want to fight theZealots forever, you better try to take this statue down first of all.The statue is immune to all elements, but it will die from 1 purify.
Heh, you made it to the level 3? Bad news, this part was rather easy.The third level was resedigned by me from scratch. After entering it,you will find yourself in a small room. There is a corridor though,so follow it.
"…… was slain by a startled witch……" Okay, I should have warned you.Even though this level has no randomly spawned monsters, there arepreset witches over all the map. Right now you might be thinking,"Ill just use summons and lure them all to a corner. This is ez." Well,sadly, they don't move, they will cast a timered deathstrike. This iseasier to avoid than the pounce, because its a delayed 1hko.
Okay, avoiding them is not hard at all. The first large corridor is simply walkable while you avoid the witches. The second large corridos is a bitmore narrow, so you need to dodge while your teleport timer cools down.You might want to use a town portal just in case something happens!
Now, once you finished the second large corridor, you will be in a very bigroom. The structure of this room, is basically a room inside another one, around five times. Yes, you can teleport, but I recommend you to walkit so you become familiar with the witches locations. This is a small maze,because each room has a door in a different location.
Eventually, you will arrive to the main central room. Take a deep breath,and walk a bit closely (action music here). There…… there she is.
Nice outfit, but we all know what is going on there. Once you are doneadmiring the awesome looks of it, get closer to it. Well, if you hoverthe mouse over here, you will read 'DO NOT DISTURB'. Again, whatsgoing to happen if you do are no news.
Good luck, though you will probably fail. If you don't, there is a nicereward waiting for you. Let's have a look at it:
Ok, now you might be thinking "what an useless charm, its blank." Well,its not blank, it has a level requeriment. No really, I won't keep the useof this charm secret, because if I do some people might just not botherdoing it. The charm can be cubed with any of the 16 existing trophies.And no, you cannot cube trophies infinite times, I must clarify that,otherwise there is always someone that asks if that is possible.
Obviously, the harder to get the trophy is, the better the reward.

Hello all! Once again, presenting a new uberquest introduced in Median XL:Ultimative v5. This quest uses the Maggot Lairs, yes, those who everyonealways hated! Well bad news, you're going to hate them even more now
Before anything is said, there are some basic concepts you need to know,even if they are rather obvious for anyone that has played Diablo 2 for morethan a week. These are: monster types.
Sand Maggots. These are big worms and will lay eggs. Thats pretty much it.Oh! and they will spit in your face if they get the chance to do so. Theyonly appear in levels 2 and 3.
Sand Maggot Eggs. These are the eggs the mothers lay. Okay, prettyobvious information once again. Nevertheless, they play a bigger role onthis uberquest, in the Level 1. Why? because there you will need to runlike crazy, and these will come in your way, blocking your path and beingannoying as hell.
Sand Maggot Young. Okay, there are several types of these in the quest.These are probably a bigger threat than mothers. They are squishy, andsummoned from eggs if you don't kill the eggs. They appear in the threelevels, but with different functions.
Sand Snakes. Okay, you probably know these from Tran Athulua.They will appear on levels 2 and 3, and they have a slowing attack.

Okay, with these concepts clear, lets move to the actual uberquest. Firstgo to Far Oasis and find the entrance to the maggot lair level 1. Note thatthe mazes were greatly increased compared to the original level, so itsa lot harder to find entrances for next levels.
Maggot Lair Level 1: there are three types of monsters here. First, eggs.Eggs will spawn young worms. The second and third monsters areGhost Worms. One of them will use a deadly poison attack, and the otherone will be preventing your heal. In other words, you just have to runlike crazy and avoid dying, probably get high poison resistances, becauseyou cannot use potions. If you succeed, then:
Maggot Lair Level 2: Okay, no untargetable worms here. In this levelyou will be fighting Mothers, Eggs, Young worms and snakes. Once again,defense and poison resistances will be very handy here. You also need to havea decent kill-speed, because these worms will reproduce very fast.
Maggot Lair Level 3: Well, this one is a headache. This level is a mixof all the previous mentioned monsters, except the ones that prevent yourheal (otherwise it would be impossible). In other words, this is like level 2,but there will always be some Ghost worms left, meaning you need bothhuge killspeed and defense. Before fighting the boss, you might want tolure those Ghost Worms away so they don't bother you much.
Brachyceran: The boss itself will provide a decent challenge. He usesSummoner AI, meaning he will cast spells without coming into melee range.He uses 5 attacks, which are the following:
1) Barrel Nova: nova of barrels that explode on impact dealing high fire damage.2) Burning Orb: frozen orb (nova) clone, but with red punishers dealingfire damage. Deadly at close range, timered casts.3) Poison Seeds: the ones slain souls use, flying seeds that leave a cloudof poison for a short while.4) Worm Curse: turns you into a young worm, lowering your max fireresistances and slowing you, making you highly vulnerable to Barrel Nova or Burning Orb.Lasts 2 seconds, and is timered as well.5) Lorenado: same as sorc skill, he will send 6 lorenados dealing poison damage.
Once you kill him , you will see a lot of completely new introduced items onversion 5, they can used for a really good reward. However, how to directlyuse these items is unknown to you.
Bugfixes:
Harkon Gem: fixed, old one is unusable so find a new one!
Character Orb: removed heal after kill recipe, to avoid corpse bug.
Level Challenge 0: made summon delayed so people can move.
Resonance: no longer makes reanimates/mercenary invisible.
Act 2 Map: fixed unwalkable tiles
Summon Dark Spirit: no longer a lvl18 skill.
Other:
Character Orb: blink recipe now works with upgraded median statue too.
Act 2 Palace Guards: now they will give you a warm welcome even if you didn't do staff quest.
Chrysaor Uberquest: on level 2, Goliaths now spawn with 0-1 ratfinks, instead of 2-3.
Talic: lowered health.
River of Flame: reduced level size on hatred/terror.
Brachyceran: reduced teleport chance when struck.
Shardspawns: reduced ctc dark summon on attack 10%->5%.
Baal in Throne: reduced ctc respawner on striking. (50%->25%)
Baal: in destruction difficulty, reduced base resists to make heroic shield drop more often.
Flayer Dungeon 1/2: halved density.
Shards: added recipe so you can cube higher shards with higher shards, and get ac + remaning shards.
Skills
Blazing Fury: starts at 100 mana cost now, +10/lvl. Spell timer reduced from 30 seconds to 20 seconds, -2 seconds per hard point.

Lore
Valthek, a powerful mage of the Vizjerei Brotherhood has built a
giant Empire, to reign for the rest of the days, and to serve him
as a strong defense for anyone trying to steal the Ancient
Repositories, which shall never be obtained by mortals.
For this, he built his own Reign, the Yshari Sanctum. This giantic
maze is split in several stages with different powerful creatures.
This subterranean dimension is guarded by the Prime Evils:
You will need to face each one of them before you can destroy
the Seal of the Gods, where Valthek is being protected, in order
to keep the Ancient Repositories safe. Accessing them will reward
any warrior greatly by enchancing his abilities.
Strategy
Each stage will have a special boss, protected by several smaller
bosses that also appear on the specific stage. You have to find them,
they are located in special 'boss areas' hidden in the maze.
Each boss might drop a set piece, of the Brotherhood of the Vizjerei.
Their fellow guardians will also have a bias to drop set parts of the
Horadrim set. This means, you will need to obtain the 5 set pieces
of each boss, and the 5 set pieces of their guardians, in order to be
able to fight the last boss, Valthek. While wearing the two sets
simultanely, you will be granted with new very powerful skills which are
required to defeat Valthek, the Vizjerei Sorcerer.
Reward
Defeat Valthek on Destruction difficulty to get the Ancient Repositories.
Drop Bias
Increased chance to drop Rare, Set & Unique items.
Increased chance to drop Runes & Great runes.
Valthek will always drop an unique jewel.
JEWELCRAFTING
This new jewelcrafting recipe might come handy for players that don't benefit from life leech.
Important!: all jewelcrafting recipes in Ultimative will require an arcane shard, but will return the rune.
